I bought this book because my father gave me a paperweight which had a house with a small window looking out on a road with a stone wall winding beside it. The inscription reads Window in Thrums. His grandmother had come from Scotland as a girl and had given it to him. He gave it to me and I looked it up on the internet. I found it at amazon and was much surprised to find that it was written by Mr. Barrie. Much of it is in Scottish brogue but once you get used to it the meaning and the emotion of the story come through. It is very meaningful to me. Thank you very much. My father didn't know the story and unfortunately he passed away when the book was in the mail to him. That is my only sorrow associated with this fine book.Product details
