This book has given me hope that the vision I have for my business to make a huge impact on the planet can actually happen. I will read this book again and take notes and do a launch of my own. The highest praise I can give something is to simply say that it works. Read the book in a day. It is well organized and full of useful info.
I have to say I honestly like how cut and dry the author has been with this book. No frills and straight to need to know info. However Shopify won't be for everyone, such as myself because I'm shy and I'm no good at promoting anything.. If you're more of a put it out there kind of person that is good with words this is a great start up for you. I hope to get my courage built up and try this. This is perfect for anyone looking to start online.
One of the biggest advantages that drew my attention to be part of Shopify platform is that it does not limit your business to its own site, rather it allows you to excel by selling products on other website with the help of social networking site such as Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter. This alone will win over a lot of sellers ready to build a defined empire of their choice that will fit into buyer’s categories demands. I am impressed with the information staged in this book. I have finally gotten what I needed all this while about been a seller online for a long time.
A reasonably long book, but it lacks focus. These e-books all seem to make big promises, but in reality they are very general and nonspecific. One interesting thing about this book is that it is about 50% reviews of the different store themes on Shopify. It goes into great detail describing the features and functionality of each theme. I don't think that is really necessary, just an inventive way to fill up pages. Did it deliver what it promised? Kinda, sorta, not sure.
While the author gives some good points on on line marketing, the book is nothing more than a long, glorified advertisement for Shopify sales platform. There is a little comparison with a limited number of other sales platforms, but mostly in the content of how Shopify is better or if Shopify is not why the other platform is not a good deal for most people.
The content is very basic and I didn't find it very helpful. I think I learned more about Shopify when I did a quick Google search. I found typos and many formatting issues with the printed book. Very dissapointed. Going back to my old friend Google and putting this book away.
Save your money. I am a writer and editor and was put off by poor grammar, punctuation and the use of "great". The lead line on the back of the boo says, "Do you to make an extra 5k to 10k a month?" It also has Shopify in lower case. Inside it says things like "use this template " and shows links and says click. As many times as I tapped the link in the book, it didn't connect me to anything! Refund please.
Not sure where to start. First of all, I think that the author has some sort of scheme for generating positive reviews as there is no way that this book is worth 4.5 stars. No Way! It's fine if English is not Greg Addison's primary language, but going through the trouble to have someone proofread or even use spell check would be helpful.
There is no insight in this book. I'm brand new to Shopify and could have written this. The strategies are basic and only at the macro level. This would be appropriate for teaching a 5th grader how to use Shopify or to tell your great grandmother what "e-commerce" is. It's basically 25 pages worth of info that is double spaced to stretch to 100 pages of not much. Save your money is what I'm trying to say.
